"Dust" a show by William "Bill" LeGoullon

Dust is a photographic collection of work focusing on the hidden, the forgotten, and places changed by time. Unexposed places with stories of their own that contain indications of interaction between man and nature. Through truthful representation of specific locations within central Arizona, I investigate theories and realities of time and change, history and the interconnectedness of humans within our surrounding environments. Like books in an old library closet, the closet being the desert around us, these scenes represent what has been left behind in the dust. These are places with stories of their own that continue to change and evolve at a slow and quiet pace, where behind every corner and through each doorway is another opening to the past and future. By way of photographic exploration, observation, and analysis, I create work that investigates and exposes ephemeral places and the individuality of ruins. These are places where people tend not to go but which hold their own unique insights into our individual realities.
